Nice porch! I still remember the big front porch at my grand parents home. It had a nice double wide porch swing suspended by chains, a padded and covered lounge couch and a few wooden chairs. But most important it was all screened in.

As a young child, I spent many an hour swinging in that porch swing and just enjoying being alive. In the south the screens are real important for a porch.

In the days before A/C screened porches were used for everything. Most stayed on the porch until the house had cooled from the days heat. Remember sleeping out there when I was a kid, sorta like camping out. Always wanted one of those old farm houses that the porches went completely around the house.

I slept on a screened-in back porch many a hot night. That house didn't have a front porch, unfortunately.

Thursday Night Football might be a good game,Chiefs looked pretty impressive here in Houston last week. Worked on my neon sign today going up and down the ladder putting in new wiring between the tubes, hope it will work and that I don't have a bad tube, the transformer got professionally checked so I am crossing my fingers.
