Snubby, when I first moved to OKC, I was looking for a house to rent. I didn't know what areas I needed to stay away from, & consequently poked around in some pretty bad neighborhoods. The worst one I looked at, I was passed at high speed by a county sheriff & two OKC police cars, obviously in a hurry to get somewhere fast. I found the street I was looking for & turned down the street. I was traveling slow, because I was looking for the address of a rent house. A whole pack of kids ran out in front of me, & I had to lock up the brakes to keep from mowing them down. There was a group of "adults" chatting in a front yard, & when they heard my tires screech, they looked at me, then at the kids, and then went right back to their conversation. I found then quickest way I could out of that place & went back to my hotel. The next week I lucked out & found a nice little house five minutes from my job & I stayed there almost fifteen years. I'll never forget the look on my managers face when he asked me where all I had been looking, & when I told him, he just said "No man...No!"
