Good Morning All

Wow! Just woke up from crazy dreams! It was like I was transported back into time? Going down streets and seeing buildings like they were 40-50 years ago. It was all so vivid! Seeing my old neighborhood, my old schools. Just like it was yesterday? It was a good dream. Nothing bad. Just cruising in a time capsule?

Oh well! Nothing much to do today. I got allot done yesterday. The weather is Beautiful. Which is unusual for The Country Music Fan Fair this week. Usally it's so hot, you can't breath and the nightly news tells of heat strokes downtown by Country Music Fans. But this week is supposed to be perfect, no rain till next Tuesday? Low humidity and temperature in the 80's?

The CMA Fan Festaval has already kicked off. Will go on all week. There were Concerts at the Country Music Hall Of Fame last night. And continues all week. I saw a list of stars this week, of who's performing and everybody who's anybody will be there.

And, I'm Already hearing helicopters flying to Bonnaroo. It don't start to I believe Thursday? I guess stars and their bands are already doing sound checks? It's a constant buzz with back and forth helicopters. Most performers stay in Nashville and travel by helicopter back and forth. A 1 1/2 hour drive, but a 20 minute flight. They say 80,000 people from all over the world will descend on the tiny town of Manchester Tennessee this week. Normal population is a little over 10,000 people.

So I will be avoiding the Nashville airport area, Downtown Nashville and anything close to I-24 east towards Manchester Tenn.

So time to kick off my day!

I hope everyone has a Fantastic Day! Stay safe! Avoid all traffic jambs! Stay well. Make the Best Out'a what ever weather Mother Nature throws at ya! And hope all our Drifting Brothers and Sisters in Florida and along the east coast stays safe in the latest tropical storm!!!

When we left the daughters house the turtle had moved a small plastic flower pot out of the corner of its new habitat.
It started digging, if it uses the flower pot to cover the dig we know it's tunneling and planning The Great Escape! :D
Told my daughter to keep an eye on it! ;)
It maybe looking to return to its birthplace!

The Great Escape

Must be one of those ninja turtles?

Good morning all, Great day here and it's heating up! Possibility of some late afternoon thunderstorms, it's summer and they happen? ;)
Heard back from the daughter, the turtle is alive and well and did not escape yet! The granddaughter was out there first thing this morning tending to it! :)
Good responsibility by a 5 year old! :D
Have made my needed doctors appointments going into July, Is this why we retire or get retired so we can spend more time with Doctors?
Well need to finish with the pool and have more coffee,,,,drift on! :D

Up and going this morning! Got my coffee and checking out the weather and it is looking like we will get some drying out weatherweather today and the next 2 or 3. Really need to mow while I have a chance because the grass is almost too tall to cut and sunny hot weather will really get it growing! Under good conditions you have to cut grass at least once a week here and it will look pretty ragged and tall when you cut it. A lot of people hire it out but I like to do my own. Lawn mowing is big business here with good crews making as much as doctors or other high paid professions. Drift on!

Bet not as high as plumbers......that is rarified atmosphere !

I'm stuck at home waiting for a Fed Ex package which I have to sign for. While killing time I decided to disconnect my old tower computer, open it up, take it outside, and give its innards a good compressed gas dusting. It has been a year since the last time I blasted it out. It amazes me, dust bunnies flying all over in a storm of fine dust particles. I think more dust is collected by my computer in a year than is caught in a year's worth of my air conditioner filters. My a/c only has one fan my computer has four, but they are tiny. I'm back online and the computer is running silently again. :)

Oops,,,, misread the original! ;)
Yes the Amish and the Mennonites, they are what they are but they are hard workers and they do mostly stick to themselves.
Even living where I do I don't fully understand all the different sects and lifestyles.

Hey Qball,,,,Happy National Sweden Day!!!

Several times when we have had tornado damage in this area crews of Mennonite volunteers from Ohio and elsewhere have showed up to do repairs, receiving no payment except meals.

Good people, and less reclusive than the Amish.
