I'm taking a break from work.
MMMmmmm. Meat loaf. mmmmMMMMmmmm. Cheesecake.
It's too hot to cook. I had cereal for dinner. WTH. I need the fiber.

The tomato plants have grown at least a foot in the last few days.
They're like snubby. They like it hot and humid.
We've got some nice looking Hungarian Hot Wax peppers.
Soon the cucumbers will be coming in, and I'll be settin' up for picklin'.

Lovin' the videos, gang. Had to stop after the 5th cat clip. Lots to do.
Never did get the AC unit in on Sunday. It's 88 in here. ugh.
Later, Drifters!

It's good to be back.
PeaceLoveHugs!

Okay guys, I don't know who did it but one year ago tomorrow a very generous forum member paid to make me a silver contributor.
We were in a very tight financial situation and that enabled me to use the classified section to help us through.
We were able to heat the house last winter.
When my neuropathy started, I lost my job and we had to live on our savings. We cashed in a few CD's we had set up for our retirement.
My wife had to quit her job to tote my pathetic gimpy behind around to different doctors, treatments, tests, MRI's, etc.
Walking was gettin' to be a difficult chore for me.
Now we have the mortgage paid and both the car and truck notes are paid off.
The state of West Virginia has officially declared me as a useless, unemployable cripple and I had to go on disability.

Now, it took me most of a year but I relearned to walk using the muscles that still work. We've joined the YMCA which provides both my wife and myself with some much needed therapy. Cardio, strength training, water therapy, etc.
I'm getting around much better and the stuff I've made's good therapy for my poor old gimpy hands.
Also, I was able to scrape enough pennies together to start thinking of actually getting another gun.

My wife now works as a home health care aid right here in town.

Feels good to be able to renew myself as a Silver Contributor.

Long day today and you all used it wisely and drifted in great fashion. The flood got me again today! My tire machine works mostly on air pressure and after the flood I ran it through all its functions but the electric side must have had too much moisture left in it and when I needed it today the motor was locked solid!! Spent the afternoon pulling everything apart and reassembling with help from a buddy but got it working! Broke one tire down the old fashioned way but it almost did me in so I had to get it fixed!! If I wasn't so cheap I would pay to have it done but I do a better job than the yo yo at discount. When you see weights on the rim 180 apart you know they got it wrong! Drift on!

This guy will be this year's headliner. The one , the only, the uncontested master of the slide guitar....... [ame]https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2pdpJuX1gDE[/ame]

BCC, The contractors won't take me up on my offer. Even though they have their ice water I do offer them cold sodas and ice tea, even offered them a cold beer which they refused. I always like to treat guys like that the way I was treated when I worked the trades. I gotta give these two credit they're good!;)

The granddaughter finally got to go in the pool tonight! Still 83 degrees in the shade here! ;)

Definition of small farmer/peasants.......petit nain ?
More in the vein of political correctness, perhaps between the stature of Sarkozy (5'-5") and Hollande (5'-7")?
Don't recall putting passengers in the back, but hubby and I had enough room up front, and he's 6'-7", 220lb.

I can't wait. I haven't seen this guy in over 15 yrs. It's gonna be Hot, humid and blues music will fill the air all through the afternoon and into the wee hours of the night !!

Why does it seem that everyone I meet has the first name "Doctor" and last name "ologist"?

You never see a Ford in a "Physicians Only" parking space.

Black scrubs should only be worn by employees who work in the hospital morgue...if hospitals even have morgues anymore.

I love how hospitals stress confidentiality laws and then doctors/nurses talk about patients in the hallways like they are trying to talk over the noise of a helicopter.

Neutral colors and tile floors...miles and miles..neutral colors and tile floors.

Just pretend this is hwitty.

Here's what you want for traffic control! :D

Or an Emu flanking maneuver....

In college, we soaked our bedsheets in the tub in cold water, wrung them out, wrapped ourselves in them, and then jumped into bed with the fan blasting us. It made the summers bearable for those of us who went to school yearlong to complete multiple degree programs in 4 years of study. Those were the days - I LOVED them!
