What is your CCW, a plastic card, a piece of paper, or something else?
My sheriff's office issues a 8 1/2 X 11 piece of paper, no other options that I am aware of?
Handgunlaw advises for Iowa that some jurisdictions may issue a plastic card for an additional fee.

In MI they are a plastic card like your driver's license or a credit card.

They are also called a "CPL" (Concealed Pistol License) and with it you are only authorized to carry a concealed Pistol; not any other type of weapon.

Got mine in 1972 and its colored paper. It has a picture taken in 71:D so it's a bit dated and back then I was clean shaven.

A few years ago the county I now live in issues a plastic type card as your CCWP. I can for about $25 dollars upgrade to that system. Only for nostalgic reason do I hang on to my 72 permit, as they take your old one. They also give a plastic amendment card to list any guns more than the one that's on your permit. Its credit card size like the permit and the Sheriffs dept. will add you new gun to the card!

In my case I still get an 8x12 piece of paper signed by a judge with every handgun I purchase. I must carry my permit and a sheet for every gun I have with me when I leave my house.

My old permit is just about none usable/very shopworn as it has been carried in my wallet every day since Feb of 72 so I might be getting the new plastic much smaller cards soon.

When I was issued it it was paper. I see that now our county uses plastic. May go down there and see if they will update mine.

I've got a paper permit and 2 supplemental sheets with additional handguns on it. My county has recently gone to a plastic "permit" sheet and still uses paper supplemental sheets as needed. I haven't switched. but probably should as mine is pretty well worn.

Plastic, protected picture like a drivers license. Renewal every 5 years. You supply a new picture every time and they accept a home-printed digital picture as long as it falls within the guidelines.

Here it is a sheet of paper. But, I was told by the sheriff to take it to the local print shop and have it reduced and laminated. Works fine. Don't need to list any guns here. If an official in this state mentioned registering any guns he would become unofficial in a hurry.

In North Carolina, it is a laminated wallet-size card. It contains a physical description of the permitee, but no photo. There's a signature line. The permitee is required by law to carry it when carrying a concealed firearm.

Get caught carrying without the license, and you most likely won't have to worry about carrying it again.

Card. No photo, no ID, no badge, although there are still grown men who insist on flashing one at every opportunity. Have you ever seen a 66-year-old mall ninja?

My driver license is my ID. The name on my permit matches the name on my license. I suppose if it didn't a guy could be in trouble. I wonder if a badge would help then.

6 or 7 States use this, the rest are infringed. ;)

New Mexico's is a plastic card same size as driver's license. They even used the DL picture! Across the top it says Concealed Handgun License.
