Food no longer available

Love liver n onions but never had wild liver heard about some livers being so high in vitamins that they are toxic to humans

I remembered seeing something about this on "Wild Kingdom" or some other show like that. So that I wasn't relying on 60+ year old memories, I looked it up and found that there is a Vitamin A toxicity relating to the liver of polar bears and seals. I remember a reference on whatever TV show I saw it on that after killing a polar bear the first thing the Eskimos did was to throw the liver away.

You should never eat the liver of any carnivore. The concentrated Vitamin A can kill you.

I miss Tato skins, by Keebler.

TGIF Fridays makes the only available option now, but nowhere near as good as the original.

Many companies, especially those bought out by someone else, are using cheaper ingredients in an effort to make more money. They are making their product not as tasty as the original. Once I figure this out I quit buying that product. I still eat turkey pot pies. I will not eat liver as long as steak can still be had.

That's what happened to Breyers ice cream. They took a high quality ice cream and changed the ingredients. It's noticeably a lesser product now.

Mama's pigtail stew with lots of liver, over rice. It had a unique color, a weird shade of gray, but we fought over it and my mother would have to fix all the kids' plates to make it fair.

In a few weeks everything is going to be ruined with pumpkin spice.

I hope that pumpkin spice will soon be something of the past.

A few weeks?
I saw this today.
BTW a local grocery already has Haloween candy out.

It's also no longer a 1/2 gal.
I was addicted to mint chocolate chip. Switched to Publix brand and have no found Aldi to be fantastic and cheaper!

If pumpkin spice was a good flavoring it would be here year round.

I buy my beef from a local rancher, 1/2 at a time. His daughter is a meat cutter and I get it cut and wrapped. He threw in a package of liver which I will use as catfish bait on the upper Missouri. I smoked a brisket yesterday and through a skinned beef tongue on their as well. My grandson and I loved it. Wife and Granddaughter would not touch it. It is tender, moist and flavorful and just another food. I also get the tail for soup.
I used to claim that we had all eaten tongue in hot dogs but it is over $7 a lb if you can find it.
