lemeni and DCWilson,
I called S&W and was told the 627 and 629 snub nosed PCs had been submitted but the gentleman who answered the phone didn't know when they'd be added to the list. He said that it's not a "first in first out" set up there at the CA DOJ.
So next I called the CA DOJ. They were very friendly. She first came back and said she didn't see anything coming down the pipe, and that she'd call her person at S&W. I called again the next day and she said they were in fact headed our way, and she didn't know a date but said probably in a month or so. Unfortunately the 586 L Comp is not planned to be submitted.
So I went ahead and ordered one for $885. That's all I know, but I put my money down because these things are gonna disappear the second it gets on the list. They already seem to be drying up.
exfebee,
Maybe they ran out of unfluted cylinders and did a few with fluted? Ironically, Clint's 627 in Bloodwork is fluted.
