Revolver as Cigar Rest?

The OP in that forum suggested that he saw in a movie

That's where his windage-from-reality problem starts. Think about the sort of folks who write movie scripts.

Then riddle me this - *why* would someone unholster their sidearm and lay it out in a bar? Seems like that'd be interpreted as an anti-social aggressive move.

Also, as far as primary sources go, even period newspaper accounts need to be taken with a pound of salt as tales like this sold more papers.

Never thought of that no wonder why the oldman would mark his whisky bottles. He had a big two gallon bottle of Canadian club with the pump top.

Tom K has it - we got trouble right here in River City, with a capital T that rhymes with P and stands for pool!

Trouble! Trouble!

Best thread of the day!

Most Smokers are a conservative breed. Zero waste! Serious smokers never actually set their lit cigar or cigarette down! Not even playing cards.

And somewhere a couple of decades ago a world class poker player got fed up with cigarettes at the poker table and now virtually every poker room is smoke free.
