What's your most recent firearm purchase, and why did you buy it?

Oh, my....that sure is pretty. Should it have diamond magnas though? Did you post this in another thread? Looks familiar. Sorry, thinking out loud.

Beautiful example of the highest level of manufacturing and design.

Classic.

Best Regards, Les

The "off brand" gun I'd like to find is a Charter Pitbull in 45 ACP.

Good SD ammo in 45 ACP is much easier to find and less money than good 44 Special.

Bulldogs in 44 Special are on the California approved list and are easy to come by.

But Charter didn't bother with getting the Pitbulls approved so I'd have to find a used one from someone who moved here from out of state.

I like 45 ACP as a revolver cartridge.

Too bad - I know where there is one for sale...

Is this the second iteration? I recall that they recalled (no pun intended) all of the first batch with a promise to reengineer it into a viable product. I think the last time I talked to anyone at Remington about it was it the NRA Annual Meetings in 2015. By 2016, they appeared to have given up.

A Remington R51. Because I am a closet masochist.

Bought 2. Ruger SR22 and an MP22. Both are excellent .22s. Why did I buy them. Pretty much to do a lot of practicing at a lower cost. My wife and I have Shields for EDC. The MP22 is very close to the same feel as the Shields so it's a nice practice piece.

I caught the tail end of the S&W winter promo and ordered a 4" 686+ last night. Hopefully I'll be able to get my hands on it this week. This is will be my first revolver, I was looking at the 6" 629, but I finally pulled the trigger on a gun that I've wanted for the past 15 years.
.

CZ 75 pre B made in 1994. ANIB. Got it at a great price with total of 5 mags. Because I wanted one for a long time.

My latest buy started more then a month ago. But only got to my hands the 27th December. Hooray for European redtape!:D

It was bought from another EU Country, so it took it's sweet time to go through all the beaurocracy involved.

But I think the wait was worth it.:D

An FN High Power. I wanted one with the rowell hammer, internal extractor and thumbprint slide. Finally found one from 1951/52.

Why? It's a classic. And I didn't have one.

Thank you! And a Happy New Year to you too.:)

Just picked up a 22a today

I have had a little (tiny) KelTec P3at for about ten years I got in trade. I had possibly 100 dollars worth of trade value into the P3AT. I put it on a local gun trade board for a trade for a .22LR of some kind and immediately got about twenty responses. MANY Model 60 Marlins, and such. The one that caught my eye was a trade for a like new S&W 22a. I have always liked the reviews I have LOVED S&W autos and revolvers having owned many of each since about 1970. I took one look at it and made the deal. I got a couple hundred rounds of quality ammo with it, box, and everything that comes with a new gun. Just went out on my back ten acre ranch and put 5 holes in the same hole off hand from about 7 yards off hand. The red dot will be here next week! Oh, and after reading the reviews, I ordered a few recoil spacers right away.

Been more than eight months, but I picked up a 1918 Colt 1911that sometime in the last 99 years was worked over by a man named King who added real workable combat sights to it, scalloped the frame behind the trigger (a la 1911A1), two A1 parts ( trigger and main spring housing) and ( the only REAL downside) polished and reblued the whole thing.
Bought it because with the prices of WWI and WWII 1911s and A1s only increasing, its the best I can do and its a shooter...
If I can figure out the whole picture posting thing I'll post a few

Picked up another addition to my little Beretta Family. 92FS Compact INOX. It was on my want to have list, and found a NIB 2013 for a good price so I had to have it.

Straight out of the box before I cleaned it up and replaced the grips and grip screws. Mfg date of 2013 and has been sitting that whole time, looking a little dry lol.
