Alert/recall bias?

Is there a Springfield forum? If so, never been there. I heard about the recall on a SIG forum (and here).

The funny part is how only lately that the Glock fans are admitting that the Gen4 and some late Gen3s did have a problem.
It's nothing new, Smiths own 3rd Gen had a recall or two, as did the L frames.
But at least S&W and Springfield are standing behind their products unlike Glock who initially said there wasn't a problem.
