I stopped at the HEB to pick up a loaf of rye bread and decided to snap a quick picture. It was dark and I think my cell phone did a pretty good job documenting the existence of this storied place. ;)

Big K, I thank you. as many "Pretty Kitty" related posts as I've posted lately, it's great to have actual verification & not having to wonder what people that got to the party late might be wondering about me! "What is it with this guy & Pretty Kitties? Hmm..."

Sounds like a fun night there pawngal.
I'll bet that CZ is a beautiful shotgun.
Pheasants Beware !!

Chuck

The pheasants are safe from me, my dog don't hunt.

Will sell the shotgun and add the $$ to my gun stash fund.

The Pheasants Forever chapter posted on their FB page that it was the most successful banquet ever. That means the money raised would be somewhere north of $100,000. Not bad considering the population of the county is 17,000.

Good afternoon fellow drifters! It took me quite awhile to get in here today, had to catch up on a lot of others posts outside of here! ;)
The weather really took a backward turn here as well, currently 35 degrees and we were at 81 on Friday? go figure. The winds have died here as well but last night did it blow through here. Well all the shingles are still on the roof, that's a good thing!
Went out for breakfast this morning, the French toast was so-so but the BACON was fabulous! :D
Well time to move on,,,, SE what other drivel is out there! Hope everyone has a great day!

Drift Party Thought

We are at 859 pages. Hopefully nobady gets upset and starts deleting posts again? 😙
Should we consider a 1000 post time/date contest ?
Or maybe an internet contest, you know bubbly, beer, snacks, solid food, pablum and applesauce 😎 , for sustenance dependant upon your personal preferance, dietary restrictions, mood, or even the weather ! 😗
Maybe invite a moderator or two, three or more, to educate us on the nuances of Medicare, Medications, personality quirks, finding our way through the galaxy, in other words drifting along! Music choices would be a nice addition, though do not know if we should consider dancing, maybe just tapping our feet while in a recliner, again just drifting along! 😎 Maybe get risque and consider removing our socks so no one can call it a sock hop, everybody remembers those I' m sure or maybe not.? 😜 Then the younger crowd can be the chaperones, so nobody's wheelchair, walker or cane runs amuck creating actual physical intimacy 😚! Of course pets allowed, two legged , three legged, and four legged allowed, but NO OSTRICHES MOAS, OR EMUS !
Sure glad the doofus from the great state of Tennessee created the internet? 😕

Hmm, the door locks on the truck stopped working. The passenger side won't stay unlocked and the drivers side won't lock.

Looking around the interwebs, it appears to be a not uncommon problem.
Looks like the repair's replacing the door latch assemblies.
Shouldn't be too much trouble to fix it myself.

Snubby on my 2000 Dodge PU, there is a procedure where you can reprogram the computer so that the door locks change locking automatically. When you do this though you have to press the key fob button twice to unlock the doors from the outside. Sometimes (especially when really cold) the computer forgets and only unlocks one door until the truck warms up. Of course using the key is always possible!😋 Point to my rambling is that your PU is much newer, so more functions if not all may be computer controlled? Maybe your net search has already told you that?
As an aside I can read codes stored on it and 2000, by cycling the key in a sequence, reading the codes on the odometer, but you have to have the service manual to translate the code given P123, for example. Service manual is very handy, though now they are probably a CD or something.

We never use the fob. It's something mechanical in the latch assembly itself. There's a plastic lever that freezes up and malfunctions. Apparently the only repair's replacement.
I'm planning on taking it out and seeing if I can fix it before ordering a replacement.
Thanks for the advice anyway.
The more I need to mess with plastic computer controlled modern technology, the more I want to get a restored model A.
