Carry J frames/snubnose with wear, lets see em

Porkchop

I think the guy after me with the bobbed hammer gun might have my 38 beat for wear.

BTW, this is my second favorite thread EVER on here.

his does look worn hard no doubt but yours almost looks like a two tone gun. definitely more replies on this board than the other.

This 3" Model 37 was in pretty much this condition when I got it for $175. I have since replaced the grips. I did bob the hammer.

I like to carry these old finish challenged but mechanically sound pieces. I don't have to worry about hurting them. I wipe them down regularly, and sometimes blow
the pocket lint out of them. About once a year, I detail strip them and soak them in diesel fuel overnight.

Thinking about using this one for carry after I finish the clean-up on it. Right now it has been relegated to my bedside table drawer gun loaded with wad cutters of course.

What model Benchmade is that? Very nice Chief as well....

Thanks, that old chiefs special is a favorite of mine.

The knife is a Benchmade Presidio Tanto. I don't think that they sell them any more. It is one tough knife. It has lived through torture on the farm, in the firehouse, and in my workshop. It is one of the Mel Pardue designs.

Here is mine. Most of the wear is from the holster. This pistol was worn everyday by a retired NYC police officer. It sat in a safe for over 20 years before I received it as a gift from his 93 year old widow.

Nice flat latch:) J.M. Good ???:p

My edc SW 360. Switches between pocket and ankle carry. Loaded with Golden Saber .38+p. Switched out the hammer with a factory 638 hammer for a semi-bobbed function. Disabled locking system.

Most of the wear is on the high corners.
