Ferguson Mo problems

It's always interesting how these things unfold.

For the better part of a week it was reported that Brown was an upstanding young man preparing for college. Today there is a vid of Brown, a thuggish brute thieving and terrorizing a business owner.... and now I'm listening to "family representatives" on Fox News preparing everyone to be ready for more than just the "strong-arm" vid. I guess college prep isn't what it used to be.

That is the problem with a Freedom of Information Act request. It's like a box of chocolates. You never know what you'll get, and it might not help you. As for the second claim, there is a photo circulating of the young man with a wad of what appears to be cash in his mouth pointing what appears to be a handgun at the camera. What appears to be a liquor bottle is present on the table, and the second young man is visible in the background. I do not know the source of the photo. I'm sure that it's available using your favorite search engine and the appropriate terms.

Your an expert it seems friend. Why don't you let those folks that lost businesses and were assaulted by the folks what you think. It's an open and ongoing investigation and authorities do not release information willy nilly as experts on the subject like yourself think is needed. Or maybe the gal who was shot in the head by four masked folk for what? Any clue all knowing one?,... Please, I'd love to hear how you'd do this,.....

I never claimed to be an expert. I merely made my comments as everyone else has. Unfortunately a life has been lost here and I will never be able to tell him what I think of him or his actions. I treat each act separately on the individual merits and respond accordingly. I do not use one to cloud what happened in another.

Yes, you can always count on the media pushing their agenda moreso than anything resembling the truth.

'Boy Murdered in Cold Blood by Police' becomes '18-Year-Old Man Shot While Assaulting and Fleeing Police After Robbery' when the truth comes out.

They even fabricated the stuff about him being a future college student. In reality, he wanted to attend one of those non-accredited strip mall diploma-mill "training institutes" you see late nite TV commercials for. You know, offering things like You, too, can become a dental assistant in only 5 weeks! He supposedly wanted to learn recording engineering as he was an "aspiring rapper".

But the media wanted you to think he was a future dean's lister at Mizzou.

All we are getting is what the MEDIA IS SAYING.

That is useless.

If you hear that eyewitness accounts---that is what the MEDIA IS SAYING.

Anything you hear---it is how it is presented by the media. It is not useful.

Anything could be the real truth about what happened, but what you here from the news reporter is not useful.

I do not pretend to know what happened, but the rioting seems to justify the police activity rather than protest the treatment of the deceased young man. Perhaps I just do not understand.

.

An alternative headline that day might have read: "Strong-Arm Robber Shot by Store Owner".

If ya ask enough people to shoot you it's just a matter of time until someone obliges. Apparently, twice in one day was one too many. Of course not all the facts are in. Maybe it was the third time that day... who knows...

Based on what I've seen and read so far:

I'm thinking it's a disparity-of-force shooting. The dead perp attacked the cop in his patrol car, and no doubt struggled over the cop's gun. Perp was shot, and backed-off.

Cop, having been inculcated by a lifetime of media which potrays pistols as portable death-rays, is SHOCKED. He just shot a giant perp, who not only didn't drop, nor die, but is now walking away. He maintains presence of mind, and issues verbal challenges. Now, perp, turned to fact cop. Let's say perp "raised his hands in the 'classic' surrender" posture.....BUT, began moving toward cop. Cop, still shocked perp is ambulatory. Having already had a brush with death, cop wasn't keen on having the big-boy's hands come crashing down on him. This time, possibly succeeding in getting his gun, or worse.

I was a police officer in the area west of Ferguson for over 12 years and worked a homicide with the major case squad on the same street where Brown was shot 20 years ago. It was a ghetto then and it has gotten worse since then. I was trained as well as the officer involved in this incident that when someone attempts to disarm you lethal force is justified. The real question that will be answered by the autopsy report was how close was Brown to the officer when the shots were fired. Brown's accomplice who was at the scene of both crimes stated that the officer pulled along side them and tried to pull Brown into the car by his neck. Brown is over 6 feet tall and weighs over 200 lbs, this is a bald face lie. It was decide today that the skinny accomplice would not be charged. Both the FBI and St.Louis County are doing the witness interviews at the same time which would lead me to believe that when skinny lies to them he is liable to be charged with lying to the FBI. Skinny has retained an attorney, soon to be possibly disbarred and former mayor of City of St.Louis, Freeman Bosley Jr. Skinny has not been interviewed as of yet. He has admitted through Bosley that Brown did forcefully take the $49.00 box of cigars. It was originally reported that the theft occurred at the QT which was later looted and burned. This was not the case and it explains why the hoodrats spray painted "Snitches get stitches" on the side of the QT.

It has also been reported that the officer that shot Brown was not aware of the robbery report involving Brown when he made contact with him and skinny for walking down the middle of the street. There was some sort of fight near the drivers door of the police car where the first rounds were fired. The family has requested a second autopsy and I would speculate that they were not happy with the ME's findings which would put their little angle at fault.

To sum this up. If St.Louis County and Ferguson PD's had released this information on Sunday along with the video of Brown committing a Robbery 2nd degree this all could have been avoided. I met Jackson about 22 years ago when he worked for St.Louis County. He is a really nice and knowledgeable guy. The current Chief of St.Louis County is a 28 year veteran who has been chief less than a year.

The hate mongers have taken advantage of this incident to further their message that the white man has mistreated them and owes them something. The same ones that are crying for justice would have been the first ones to steal Brown's personal belongings if someone other than the police had shot him and they came upon him laying in the street.

If you think this past week is bad wait and see what happens if the grand jury does not indicted the officer involved in the shooting. It will be the same as in LA after the Rodney King incident.

All of this is in the St Louis Post-Dispatch along with the videos.

Hopefully, you won't be subpoenaed for either side at trial . . .

I don't care, Police 1, Thugs 0.

This brings back memories of the good old days when Possession of Nicole Smith's 6 week old dead body was really hot news -- the body was resting some place in the Caribbean islands.

Now that the companion has admitted that Brown committed the robbery, that INCREASES the possibility that Brown did something aggressive and stupid with the cop, which may or may not have justified the shooting.

Yesterday I saw a pretty sensible analysis which posited that Brown may have THOUGHT he was being stopped for the robbery, when in fact he really wasn't. He reacted based on the false assumption and ended up dead. Of course he still COULD have been wrongfully killed. We still don't know. We just know that the correlation of facts just changed, altering the probabilities of what happened.

That's why from the start I didn't trust EITHER side... and still don't. It's entirely possible that BOTH sides were/are still lying. It wouldn't be the first time.

Brown had no rap sheet.....as an adult. As a juvenile it was a mile long.

There is video of him stealing and when confronted by the employee Brown bullied and shoved him around.

No one knows what dialog was exchanged between him and the cop before the scuffle.

Very few news stations are reporting that Brown shoved the cop into the car and beat the living cr*p out of him.

its reported he was going to go to college which makes him look good. in fact he was going to start trade school.

all news stations are making him look like a saint and have not said a single good thing about the police.

if it is true looting bring fed money quicker this is a point that thieving animals would have never thought of or known.

A political leader from the area was arrested and later tweeted or facebooked to "F" the cops. she is not caucasion

There were several arrested that came from out of state to loot

Looted again Saturday night. video looks like roaches running about.

his buddy involved in this was on tv bawling and crying, not a single teardrop in his head.

Watching the video of him strolling out of the store and the way he manhandled the cashier when confronted about stealing gives you a pretty good idea of his attitude "dont **** with me".
Not like one TV comentator said last week "it looks like the parents did a good job of keeping this young man on the right track"

I was thinking the same thing. King had a record and resisted arrest. He was awarded 3.8m, the media made him a celebrity and the LEO's involved were prosecuted. Police training was a big part of the LEO's trial. This one will be a media circus as well with looting, riots and more people taking a trip to the morgue. Nothing ever changes.
