Problem with the forum < See Post # 64

It's clear that a number of people commenting in this thread do not understand what the problem is. These are not popups, it makes no difference if you're a paid member or not and it has nothing to do with other web sites you may have visited. It's caused by a malicious script that has been inserted into the site. Disabling Javascript as has been suggested previously will prevent it from happening. However, doing that can cause problems with other sites such as GunBroker. I don't care to be switching back and forth between JavaScript on and off just to avoid a minor problem here. I've previously posted a link discussing the problem and how the Web Site Administrator can fix it but I'll post it again as a refresher. Even if you don't understand web coding a quick skim of the article should clear up some of the confusion on this topic.

Removing Malicious Redirects From Your Site - Wordfence

I was made aware at the end of October that this ad did come from us.
It was done without my knowledge, so it was obviously done without my consent. We have never done popup ads because I consider them obnoxious and annoying.
When I found out about it, this method of opening a popup in a separate browser was described to me as "A less obtrusive way to have a popup than a normal popup".:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
When I was made aware that it actually was ours, I ordered it taken down.
I apologize for any upset this caused all of you.
